Israel's Nature Site

About Me
Basically, I am a graphic designer, working as a freelancer from home for many years. Photography is my major and serious hobby since childhood and for many years I've made some living of it for my clients.

Lately I have been involved in the production of the award winning documentary film from Blue Heron International Pictures from Florida -- "Safe Haven - The Warsaw Zoo" which you can watch at http://.kitzur.com/ringer/safe-haven or at: kitzur.com/ringer/safehaven

Besides, I am mad about cats, care for the environment and volunteer for animals care and nature care associations.

Insects were part of my love since childhood since my late mother, Miriam Ringer, graduated of the Hebrew University on Mount Scopus, made her BSc degree in zoology on on of the Drosophila species, at the late '30th. She had a large insects collection at our home. It was only natural for me to join the biology course in my high school studies in Haifa (early '60th).
Those were the foundations for my nature love and interest in insects.

I hope to refresh my knowledge through this site and get answers to questions I'll have. I'll also try to contribute some of my knowledge.
