I found these metallic purple beetles in Wadi Qumran on Friday, Jan 21, 2011. (see my profile picture) They are about 4-5mm long, and they were all on one plant. Does anyone know what they are? Genus? Family? Thanks, Ben | |

Hi Ben, Do you have a larger photo? It is definetly a Chrysomelidae which you can check here. It looks a bit like Lachnaia cerealis (see photo bellow) but the photo is too small to see clearly. You can send a larger photo? Oz
