Collectors of insects (butterflies \beetles)

In Israel there are a few dozens of Butterflies collectors and you can find them here:

As for other insects, sadly they are neglected. If you count the people collecting beetles including the ones in

the university you will reach the number 5. 

I always looking for new people on the hobby but so far it is still undevelope subject here.

If you like we can get toghether for collecting. What are you focused at?

I'm into Coleoptera and mainly Scarabaeoidae. I try to study this group and make some order 

in terms of what we realy have and where. I will upload soon new papers on the local fauna after it will

be published. Many species recorded from Israel are based on wrong identifications and on the other hand

there are quite a few new species for the fauna and for science, there is a lot of work to be done and every collector

can contribute. wish there were more...
