The following plate will show the differences between the Oxythyrea sps known from Israel. The aim is double: 1) As a tool for identification 2) A request for information: Those of you in the field are welcome to assist in understanding the distributional patterns of these species and in particular: O.cinctella O.albopicta If you can ID these species (I need a clear photo which will show the specimen, most important from bellow, above will be very good as well for complete view). Those who are willing to offer their help THANK YOU very much. For more details about Oxythyrea please ask here. Here is the plate:

Hi Dror, These indeed are O.noemi. I am interested in O.abigail (not from coastline or Beer-Sheva area). Also in reports about O.cinctella. O.albpicta is probably abcent from Israel but I try to check it more deeply before taking it as a fact. Many thanks, Oz | |
