Hi all


I'll start my first post with a small Coccinellidae

Location: coastal sends (Rishon-Le-Zion sends)

Size: ~3mm

Date: December 2008


ID as Rodolia. maybe
Rodolia cardinalis?
Is
R. cardinalis common in our area?

The info from the web show its Australian origen but intruduce in some parts of the world as biological control
For me its the first time I see such one

Hi Amir,

You are right, R.cardunalis is known in Israel from the Negev area and north. I also came across this specie last week as it was landed on my arm.

The original distribution of this specie is European and Mediteranean so its a native and wide-distributed sp.
